    Personally what makes you beautiful is about a beautiful that's super hot but she just doesn't it! So hazza has to tell her that she's s*** and that she doesn't know it. When she smiles at the ground he wants her so desperately. She lights up the entire world like a sun. This is a metaphor as she is not actually a sun but it being compared to the brightness of the sun. This further supports the argument of s*** women in modern society. This is the urbanisation of society succumbing to the post war modernist movement.

    I can really relate to this song. My crush likes me but I never thought I was beautifl until he told me he likes me. Now when o hear this song I think of hm and how I used to feel like I was ugly. And even now don't really know why he likes me because I still have those moments. But after heard this song I relized I have to give myself more credit and I don't give myself the credit I deserve. I'm really pretty and now thanks to this song I see that. Now when I look in the mirror I see a pretty girl staring back aat me. I just need more self-confidence.

In this song these boys express how to solve a problem when a girl thinks she is ugly so they make a perfect song for the girl who thinks she is unperfect I think everyone should share this to their younger sibling who have started young relationships just in case something goes wrong sing them the song and tell themhow beauitful they are! :] roses are red violets are blue we are so perfect and so are you!

    To me, what makes you beautiful is one direction's way of expressing to all of the girls out there that no matter what anyone says, everyone has beauty. Liam expresses that his definition of beauty is when a girl is attractive without any makeup on, harry likes it when girls do those small little things to show their insicurity like flipping their hair and smileing at the ground, and zayn says that he thinks it's beautiful when a girl looks away when she gets embarrassed. These three boys get to put their own two sense in an amazing dog that makes every girl feel beautiful while it is being played. Thank you to every one direction member for making me feel beautiful :)

    The girl is beautiful, though is unaware of it as she is quite modest and shy.
    The song translates how lovely and attractive she is on the outside as she is on the inside. By her not knowing she's beautiful, makes her more appealing; she's unaware of her beauty and thus not vain to become arrogant of it. Instead it makes her much more gorgeous!
    Beauty is not about what you look like with make-up, how much expensive and beautiful clothes you have, or how many admirers you have. It's about having something beautiful on the inside that shows as much as what is on the outside.

    Love love this song but what makes me mad is that louis doesn't sing anything by his self like the rest of them except for niall to me it always seems to me like louis is the bottom of the barrel he almost never gets a solo I love louis and wish I could hear him singing for himself for once.     This song is about when you are trying to tell some one they are beautiful.
    , but they don't believe that they are. They are too insecure to admit it and you just don't understand why they doubt it. The person in the song is in love with the person who is insecure, and he/ she tries to tell him/her that they really truly are beautiful on the inside an the outside.

    Its manuel manglapus am may base in my understanding in the song it states as that the person that we love in not in the physical beauty but its in our eternal beauty. Usually also the person that we love is beautiful also even though his very ugly outside but his beautyful in our mind. With me being a girl I know I do some of this stuff that this song points out and I don't always think I'm beautiful.     This is a song that really praises girls for who they are. It means girls are beautiful the way they are. They shouldn't listen to critics and brainwashing products from the oblong boxes. They don't need to cover up their defects because they are or will be simply adored and love t by someone, someday. The boy band try to convey their fellings that girls don't need to be the likes of lady gaga, katy, selena, miley to look appealing cause someone is falling for who they are.

    It means that everyone is beautiful in different ways. Whether that be inner beauty or outer, though I find that inner beauty is what truly matters. And as far as outer beauty goes, natural is better. When you wear a bunch of makeup, it's like opening a chip bag that is half empty. It's not real beauty. But regardless, I'm a directioner for life. I love lou and niall most, but all the boys are beautiful in their own ways(;

    I love one direction sooo much and I think it is about someone that does not think that they are beautiful but they are beautiful just the way they are and they don't need to act like someone else or wear alot of make-up.
    One direction make the best song in the world and have the best meanings too they are just the best thing that has happened to the world and they have made me a better happier and more fun person to be around.
    Just being a fan is a great thing to me and I just hope that there are so many fans out there and they show one direction love every day and to all the people that hate them I just want to ask why? What have they done to you for you to be mean to them you have no right you just upset them! But also to the people that hate them thanks for making our boys stronger.

    It reminds me of everyone I see. Like for example one of my best friends, well she thinks that she's fat and ugly and everyone else tells me and her that she's not and she doesn't believe me. Then all the people around me I think the same thing, even about myself sometimes, but it just makes me tihnk about everyone in my life.     This song is really easy to describe at least for me its about a girl who does not thing shes pretty, beautiful, hot, or worth anybodys time. But really that's not the case. Just like the song says you're turning heads when you walk through the door, and to me it means you can think all this negative stuff about yourself but its probly not true, because you probly turn heads when you walk in to school of the mall or a store or anywhere.     Love is beauitful your beauitful were all beauitful made by one person who loves, cares, and thinks is beauitful we all have different ways so we stay tht way.     Very few people know the actual meaning behind what makes you beautiful by 1d. It is actually about a monkey, named scarlett. Scarlett had a very shiny coat, and very nice monkey lips. 1d noticed that, but they got irritated how scarlett always looked at the ground when clearly she was hot! (in their eyes) so they wrote the song to prove it to her. 1d has formally been accused of beastiality in the past.

    I love one direction! And to me I think it means that beauty isn't what; s on the outside, but what's on the inside(a well-known phrase but so true!) and that when someone really likes/loves you they will love you for who you are not someone your trying to be!     This is about a boy who is telling a girl that she doesn't know she is beautiful and that she doesn't need makeup on to be pretty. That he thinks she is just naturally pretty. This does happen in real life though. This song can make you smile wherever you go it truly is a great song! In all honesty this song describes me, I have a man in my life that I've been with for a year and 7 months in a few days and to him, I light up his world and all the stuff it says in this song & he's always telling me how beautiful I am and what I mean to him and that I should believe in myself, the only thing is I don't see what he sees in me in myself. It pushes me to the point to wish I was strong enough to believe in myself. But he says because I try so hard and put forth motivation to see what everyone else sees and it's true tons of heads turn when I walk in a room and even wads that shouldn't be turning.
