He like many was wronged to a degree he turned to drinking and lost all meaning of life , instantly . I truly hope he was healed a good woman and returned love , and partly returned to a normal life like me .It happens every day , many lyrics prove it . I know many in their early 20's that turned to a gun at their head .

When I was pregnant with my first born, I was alone because my babies father was in the Air Force. We could never agree on a name for our baby, so many nights as I drove home from work I would hear this song. I fell in love with the song and the name Emily. Now our daughter is 18 and has moved on to college and I cried as I listened to this song again because now I am straightening Miss Emily's picture on my wall.
