Get Scared – Don't You Dare Forget The Sun lyrics
Your a mess tangled with your confidence.
You think you haven't sinned.
Well you're unstoppable,
Your walls are impassible oh!
I think your better off looking alone,
The boys that chase your hips can just go find their way home.
And at the end of the day you think to yourself.
My body is a product being sold on the shelf.
Tell that I can change
Tell that I can change

Well I know your lay in bed,
Contemplating your own death.
Well just look at what you've done
Don't you dare forget the sun, love!
(Don't forget!)

Cold white walls keep you from your pad and pen
You just wanna stab again
,
I can't believe it's half this hard,
You never knew your mind was dark no!
I think your better off looking alone.
The boys that chase your hips can just go find their way home.
You can dig so deep for scars.
You never knew your mind was dark
Come on and breathe with me oh!
Breathe with ohhh!

Well I know your lay in bed,
Contemplating your own death.
Well just look at what you've done
Don't you dare forget the sun, love!
You look down on me so casually, in everything I know.
You look down on me, but not right on me. Did I wreak this broken home?

Dear Diary,
Life is trying me.
Can I get a sign?
Or a two of mind, a piece of mind
.
Can I get a sign (a sign), can I get a sign (I know)

Well I know your lay in bed,
Contemplating your own death.
Well just look at what you've done
Don't you dare forget the sun, love!
You look
down on me so casually, in everything I know.
You look down on me, but not right on me.
Is it plain to see that life trying me?

Life is trying me!
Life is trying.
Can I think of something, gotta think of something!

To me personally, I think it's about a girl that can't keep living because the one that she thought she loved, that she gave her innocence to did something wrong to cause her so much pain, to deprive her of her sanity. And when she looks back on it, she just wants to self harm again and.

This song tells about two stories of acceptance in this society and by their families.

The first verse is telling a story about a woman who sells her body for money.

    - "You're a mess, tangled with your confidence, think you haven't sinned.
Well you're unstoppable, you're walls are impassible."

This tells about how she thinks she is doing the right thing to support herself, and how the writer views her as a misunderstood.

    - "Well I think you're better off, looking alone, tell the boys to chase your hips can just go find their way home,
And at the end of the day, you think to yourself, my body's just a product being sold on a shelf."
Also adding on to the fact she is selling herself, having no value of herself but being a simple toy.

The second verse tells about a boy who is mentally ill and his struggles with it.

    - "Four white walls, keep you from your pad and pen, you just wanna stab again."
Referring to the strong stigmas and stereotypes on the mentally ill.

    - "...never knew your mind was dark, oh."
Talking about how no one suspected the boy to be mentally hurt or emotionally conflicted, resorting in delusional and otherwise homicidal behavior.

"Well I know you lay in bed,
    Contemplating you're own death,
Well just look at what you've done,
Don't you dare forget the sun, love."
This line means with both stories how to never forget their sinful behaviors, and the writer guilts them by using said line, the sun referring to the hate and conflict they'll gain from their wrong.

I think its about someone who can't handle their life whether it be bullying or depression hence "don't you dare forget the sun" which I think is a way of saying don't you dare forget the warmth and light that you had before you felt like this. "Tell me I can change, tell me I can change" is saying tell me I can correct everything wrong with me basically. Also it says that life is getting hard but I'm trying my best to hold on. So to sum it all up its saying you come from a broken home so you've never quite know normal and you have to sell your body to pigs to help keep your family afloat when most normal people don't have to do that. "Cold walls keep you from your pad and pen you just want to stab again" means that you write to keep you from harming yourself but when you run out of distractions you want to harm again but you hide your tools. "You never knew your mind was dark" you never thought about your depression or whatever it is until you run out of distractions and are left up to your own mind and your thoughts find that and latch onto it till its all you think about.

Personally, I think it's about a girl who boys flirt with and are obsessed with her to the point she goes insane, hence the "four white walls", and the "you never knew your mind was dark" refers to the feelings of hatred she feels for the people who want to be with her.
The chorus which I call "Don't Forget", aka, the "don't you dare forget the sun" is talking about how she's contemplating her own suicide due to the feelings of stress and tension she has, because the people who want her are pushing her to her mental limits.
The "my body is a product being sold on a shelf" is the fact that most people only want women just to have sex with them and brag that they lost their virginity. It's a common thing for most people, and it's quite distasteful to treat women like that. Sadly, most people do.
So, the song's about a girl being pushed to her mental limits due to the pressure of many boys pushing her to be with them, and she feels like she's just a product being sold on a store shelf. She eventually is driven to depression and potential suicide due to the hatred she has for the boys and that eventually leads to her institutionalisation (the four white walls).

As a song mystery solver, (that is someone who looks for the meanings of songs) i think it is about how you want forgiveness after doing something wrong. You don't really mean it and you want to say sorry to the people you love. That is honestly what i think. (pls dont hate my statement cause it is only my opinion)
