That is were the term seven devils comes from. If you do not believe me look it up, its in the bible. People need to know that god is the only savior. The devil will do everything in his power to bring you down and make your life. Misrable. Its happening now florences music is about it. Her song shake. Him off is about getting rid of the devil getting rid of the bad in your life. And she states and its hard to dance with the devil on ur back so shake him off. You may think I'm crazy but ita peoples ignorance that its letting him win and will kill us all. Do your own research for ur selfs. Just search the illuminati which is a satonic group that is already rulling the mojority of the world.

It means that she is so full of anger and the need to seek revenge that she will not stop at any cost until her enemy is defeated in the worst way possible. She sees this retribution as a beautiful thing. It evens her score of pain, 1 to 1. She will go to sleep at night and wake up every morning with this fire-like anger until her mission is accomplished.

It definitely could be "melody" but I keep hearing "liberty" I really don't know for sure.

Now for the meaning. For me, this song is about depression over unrequited love. Or depression in general. The seven devils are the demons that you have inside from past wrongdoings. Holy water cannot help you if you let them take over. Because that boy doesn't love her, they are taking over her, and she's going to make him pay for not loving her. She'll destroy his reputation, riches, and popularity (see I had to burn your kingdom down/ I don't want your crown) and then she will kill him ("it's an even sum, it's a melody, it's a battle cry, it's a symphony. " this whole verse is the devils convincing her that he deserves to be killed). Since those seven devils have finished what they came to do, they will sit back and watch as she realizes what she's done. The last verse after "before the day is done" is the girl realizing what she has done ("for what has been done cannot be undone"), and seeing her devils for the first time. Then she kills herself at the end of the song. Yet she was already dead that morning from the depression that plagued her. In short, it's the whole "if i can't have you, then nobody can" mentality.
Man, this song is depressing, but so beautiful. This is all my personal opinion of course, but if you listen very closely to this song, you'll hear what I hear. :).

The song is about the 7 deadly sins and how they effect our lives. 7 devils all around you. I was dead when I woke up this morning and i'll be dead the before the day is done. Therefore you can see that the sins have a negative effect on you. She is saying that they will kill you and holy water would have no effect on your salvation. "what have we done can it be undone? " this symbolises the loss of salvation. You cannot take undo an action only seek to fix it.

No one said she is not talented. She has a great singing voice. Does that mean everything is what it seems? Ever hear of subliminal messaging? Propaganda? Brain washing? You know that stuff also exists. Don't take everything for face value. You should look into it, open up ur mind, do some research start looking into it seriously, google, YouTube. That will start you off. Eventually you will be able to see stuff in a different way once you have done some research.

It means she is in the illuminati and she has sold her soul to the devil just like jay z lady gaga rhianna, all those people. She has sold it for money and fame, and now she reps the devil, notice how in her videos she shows illuminati signs and symbols (covering her eye, make up on just one eye, song about girl with one eye) the main symbol of illuminati is the "all seeing eye" within the pyramid. So she is saying she is dead when she woke up this morning and dead when the day is done, basically because she has no soul she is basically now just a corpse, soulless and life less. Weather it is symbolic or true. You be the judge of it. Make yourself aware. Music these days goes beyond the art form. Its not dark arts mixed with politics and world domination. Look into it, research, make yourself aware!

I think it symbolizes a relationship that ended poorly and one tries to get revenge on the other. But once they come close to getting it, they realize what they were about to do, and now they can't stop it. The "see i was dead when i woke up this morning," and "i'll be dead before the day is done," also symbolize that the person feels like their lost and broken; dead.

I think that the devils are somehow trying to work with her that's why she made the song "shake i out" and now thi one which is so obvious! This devil is tying to control her! I don't know what's their love and exorcised that's realeasing an evil spirit and if she doesn't realease him soon she will have trouble "and ill be dead before the day is done" "they can keep me alive" are the devils but she can't listen to them she ha to refuse it or she would have trouble. "and they take your souls" she is obviously talking about the devils and maybe they took her soul and she released the evil spirit. "and what have we done? Can it be undone? In the evil's heart in the evil's soul" what they "devils" have done "contolled her" can it be undone "because they have to regret it cause she realeasd the devils "seven deadly sins" in the evil's heart in the evil's soul "the devils".

I heard it in the trailer for game of thrones and it clearly references that, as in of human nature, wars never end, but people do die before the end. The end can be represented as the end of times or the definite conclusion of a situation or struggle. In game of thrones, as of season 2, the death of the main character causes for peace to be shattered and kingdoms to face each other until one is left standing. But in the end, none of the kingdoms seems likely to come victorious as they're haunted by the revenge and karma of others who've sworn certain vendetta on them. And basically, everybody will die before the matter is resolved, nobody is safe from their own sins, and therefore are blinded by the consequences of their actions.
