    Mary jane shoes. This song has absolutely nothing to do with the shoes. She's talking about smoking mary jane (weed for you newbies) can't you see the metaphors?. "the whole world seems a little bit brighter" (she's feeling high from smoking so she sees the world differently, pot usually puts you in a good mood and makes you happy) "my heavy steps get a little bit lighter" (meaning she's not as stressed because pot calms you down and relaxes you. And she's also saying her heavy steps get a little bit lighter cause she smoked and is high) :) its not a bad drug people. There are no deaths related to smoking pot by itself. She just has young fans and has to make it sound like she's talking about shoes lol. Great song. Listen to the whole song and compare it to weed. Trust me ;) you'll get it.
