It's the summary of what they feel. It was their pov about the things that they had no control of. It was simply asking for understanding. It lies between the lines. That they were sad and sorry of what happened, but they can't voice it out, and there's nothing they can do to change it. So they put in a song. It also symbolizes their love for the fans. That they appreciate the things that the fans gave. No matter how little or ginormous those things are. And for that, they are grateful. And I, myself, is also grateful to you, EXO.

I think the song is about them, that they broke their promise, and now they promise us/the girl again, that everything will be okay, that they're gonna be here for us/her. But also that they can't tell out loud what they feel. They're sorry for what happened. I think it's one of the most beautiful and sad songs ever.

The songs about they promise to each other to stay and won't leave the group. Even it a clumsy moments, they still like each other. But sometimes they ask himself if they liked it or not. They couldn't say anything and just swallowed their words. They believe that they love each other. This song could make everybody cry even just heard and don't know the meaning. I also cry too. They want to breathe and live with each other. But they leave the group. Like Tao, he promise that he don't leave the group, but he leave. This song about they promise to each other and don't leave the group ever, and they will remember the memories together. They will make the members happy and they won't forget the members. They will hug the members, they will hold their hands to ask them not to leave. Their so thankful to the members and they always said "whatever is it, WE ARE ONE!" I'm always love EXO no matter is it "WE ARE ONE".
