Zayn Malik - "It's You" [Music Video Premiere!]
The debut album by Zayn Malik, “Mind of Mine”, went up for pre-order on iTunes today, February 26th, and to celebrate this milestone moment in his solo career, and to increase hype for the pre-order as well, Zayn and his record label of RCA Records took this opportunity to premiere the music video for the album “It’s You”.
Remember “It’s You”? Of course you do! This is the song that Zayn debuted a few days ago on Jimmy Fallon’s “The Tonight Show” with a live performance.
The song is an R&B ballad with electronic-indie elements where Zayn sings about what a former lover meant to him. The song is about a girlfriend with whom he broke up not along ago (Perrie?).
In the black-and-white "It's You" video you can see Zayn Malik spending a relaxing afternoon at his mansion in Los Angeles, taking a good look of the breathtaking views through his tall living room windows. At night time Zaye will attend a private party for which he will wear a nice tuxedo and where he will spot the girl he really fancies - but will be left heartbroken when he realizes she’s already been courted by another man.
Truth is that I don’t really understand why Zayn wants to say with this video and I’m not really sure what’s happening in this music video neither. Does he get the girl in the end? Is that the what the opening scene is all about when Zayn looks outside through his living room windows and there is a couple of girls having fun by his pool and I think one of those girls is the girl that he spots in the party? So is the opening scene supposed to be a thing of the future and not the past?
