Single Review: Bebe Rexha - "The Way I Are (Dance With Somebody)" featuring Lil' Wayne / *Audio Included*
Bebe Rexha had high expectations for her new single “The Way I Are (Dance With Somebody)” but her mood was ruined when early last week a dirty leaker leaked the full song online (at that point the new Bebe Rexha single had no scheduled release date). Everybody assumed her label would rush release the song last Friday but HELL NO – Warne Bros. Records had the brilliant idea of scheduling “The Way I Are (Dance With Somebody)” for the following week, i.e this week, i.e tomorrow Friday, May 19. Nobody understood this decision, not even Bebe Rexha, who threw a little shade at her label on Twitter when she found out.

But now “The Way I Are (Dance With Somebody)” is OFFICIALLY out (already out in Australia/New Zealand, and in a few hours in the rest of the world) and since I had decided not to listen to the leaked version, I was very excited to hit my first play a few minutes ago.
FYI: This new single will appear on Bebe’s next EP “All Your Fault, Pt. II”, which is coming out this summer (is she not album material yet or what?).

THE REVIEW
Bebe’s “The Way I Are (Dance With Somebody)” is an pop/urban-synth track which samples a Whitney Houston classic on the chorus (already figured out which, don’t you?) and features a heavily-auto-tuned verse from Lil’ Wayne. And despite all the drama that has surrounded this song, I’m delighted to see “The Way I Are (Dance With Somebody)” is a GREAT new single from Bebe Rexha and she should shake all her fears away because despite the early leak, the song should perform well on radio and the charts (if the general audience really appreciate cool new music and an inspiring message). “The Way I Are (Dance With Somebody)” hears Bebe Rexha telling us that we should love ourselves the way we are and that we shouldn’t fake it up just to be liked by other people. For you the only judge of you should be you.
