Full Music Video: Shakira & Carlos Vives - “La Bicicleta” [VEVO Premiere]
Shot in the towns of Barranquilla and Santa Marta where Colombian stars Shakira and Carlos Vives were respectively born, here finally is the full music video for their song “La Bicicleta”, a vallenato-reggaeton single taken from Mr. Vives’ (a total superstar in the Spanish music business) upcoming fifteenth studio album. “La Bicicleta”, which means “The Bicycle” in English, is already a monster hit within the Latino community in the US, in Latin America and Spain. I may have called the song one of Carlos Vives’ worst singles ever (if you compare it with his previous material you’ll agree with me) but there’s no denying the shameless catchiness of “La Bicicleta” (too mainstream and reggaeton-sounding for a Carlos Vives song in my opinion - he selling out) had an instant effect on people.
The sunny music video for “La Bicicleta” sees Shakira doing a dance battle with Colombian locals, Shakira and Carlos Vives riding their bikes together across the lively Barrenquilla and Santa Marta and the music couple running at the beach at twilight.
A very feel-good visual this is!
